The new dwelling is situated directly adjacent to a listed hall, an interesting context for this contemporary building. The new house had to achieve high levels of design and satisfy a very specific brief from the clients. This was achieved using a highly efficient timber frame structure, geothermal heating and passive solar gain, resulting in a highly individual dwelling that relates well to its context. This was a self-build project.
