CSA Design Studio is a small rural practice with a passion for responsible design. The studio has three main members. We are also supported by additional technical and architectual staff as appropriate.
David Cumming Dip.Arch ARB RIBA - Director
David has been practicing architecture in the Norfolk area for many years. He practiced for a number of years with a partner as Cumming and Simms Architects, later forming formed CSA Design Studio in 1992. He has long had an interest in environmentally sustainable architecture, creating many passively designed, low impact, low carbon buildings. David has a thorough appreciation of historic buildings and craftsmanship which are reflected in his contemporary crafted design solutions.
Matt Plummer BA, MArch ARB - Architect
Matt studied at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2007 with the M.Arch and has recently qualified as an architect. He joined the team at CSA Design Studio to work on a scheme for a development of sustainable rural housing. Since starting at CSA Matt has been working on an innovative development for Sussex Street in Norwich as well as a number of smaller domestic projects.
Kirstin Aitken MA, MArch - Architectural Assistant
Kirstin studied at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Sheffield, graduating with the MArch in 2008. She worked in commerical practice in Edinburgh and on humanitarian projects in Tanzania and India before making the move to Norfolk to join CSA Design Studio in 2009. Kirstin will begin her final stage of professional training later this year, working towards full qualification in 2011.
